Smallville: Obsession

I had to wait a couple of days before I wrote about this one.

It's taken me that long to recover from the cuteness.

I loved this episode. It was the kind of show that made you squeal and laugh and make snarky comments to the tv as you watched.

Really, that's all I can ask of any show.

And in other exciting news...

My real life Rodney McKay is coming to visit this weekend.

He's one of Pookie's best friends and is a genuine obnoxious genius. Aside from the fact that Hank is a meglomanical computer genius, not a physicist (although I'm sure he knows everything about the subject, dare I ask).

He's sarcastic, condescending, impatient with stupid people and waaaaay smarter than everyone else (how smart? Well, when he decided to take a sabbatical last year his employer ended up having to hire four people to do the work that he had been doing). He's full of strange quirks and he has a cat. And he sends me pictures of his cat. Words cannot do him justice. It's going to be great!

In related news, I'm not too shabby myself...

I'm feeling extremely good right now. One of my database clients had decided to stop using my software and go with another developer. I didn't really care that much at the time because:
a) they are a huge pain in the ass
b) I didn't really hear from them any more since my software was completed and working perfectly
c) The new developer was a relative of the multi-millionaire owner, so it's not like I was being dropped because I suck
d) It always takes them at least four months and a lot of nagging to pay up.

It turns out that their new endeavour was an abysmal, expensive failure. Total flame out. Snicker.

They've gone back to using my software.

Damn, I'm good.
