“I’m not forcing anyone to do anything; I am merely encouraging them to fulfill their duty as citizens.”
“Giving every LuthorCorp employee an extra vacation day if they vote? That’s almost as bad as that time that you went through the parking lot and made a list of all the people with dirty cars.”
“Clark, that was completely different. It was valuable insight into employee morale and productivity. You can determine a lot about a man by how he treats his vehicle.”
“But, but you...nevermind. My point is that this could be seen as bribery.”
“I hardly think that rewarding people for exercising their democratic rights could be construed as bribery.”
“Lex, you’re running for President. They’re gonna feel like they have to vote for you.”
“I should hope that they feel that way already.”

This is great - I love the idea of him giving people vacation if they go vote!
Though, um, I do wonder what he did for the folks, like myself, who had dirty cars....

The dirty car thing is actually based on an eccentric billionaire factory owner who was a benefactor of a charity that I worked for.
There was also a time when he was mad at Russia so he gave all of his employees who drove Yugos an incentive to trade them in for a North American brand.
