Just watched Poolhall Junkies for the first time and have gone into sugar shock from the cuteness of seeing Lex as a goofy teenager. Not even the sight of watching my cat barf right in front of me could dilute the squee.

Overall, not a bad movie. Everyone was very good, except for the lead and the lead's girlfriend. The lead dude was okay, I think it's more a case of the character being annoying. I'm amazed at the cast that was assembled for this movie, it's got a lot of very good people. Christopher Walken was a high point, as always. That man just brings a certain something to every movie that he is in. I wonder if he and Willem Dafoe have ever made a movie together. That would be a sight to see.

On to more important things: Michael Rosenbaum. I haven't seen him in anything other than Smallville, so it was great to see him play a different role. It was even better to see that he didn't suck. He was very good. It was hard to believe that it was the same person who played Lex Luthor. I'm impressed.

I work part time as a market researcher (translation: I conduct phone surveys). Please don't shoot me, we don't sell anything and really don't care if you participate or not so we don't pester you.

It can be a very fun job, because you end up talking to such a wide range of people, but that's not my point.

Last night I was recruiting businesses for a mail study. Part way through the evening I realized that I had been writing "male handler" in my notes instead of "mail handler".

Reading waaaaaaay too much fanfic.
