- Had a theatrical role created especially for me. It was for our grade 8
production of “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court”. The role was “Ethel the Dragon”, a non-singing part (my sister had to speak her solo lines in the songs). - Shook the hand of former Prime Minister Jean Chretien way back when he was running for the party leadership.
- Camped in the winter on numerous occasions.
- Lived in a tent for 4 months as I paddled a 36’ Voyageur canoe 2,000 km from Montreal to Winnipeg as a member of a team recreating the explorations of an 18th century fur trader.
- Been a downhill ski instructor.
- Wrote and directed a children’s play (an adaptation of Rumer Godden’s “The Story of Holly and Ivy”).
- Have had the experience of speaking in front of groups and *knowing* that they were hanging on your every word.
- Gotten applause for doing my job.
- Appeared in several community theatre productions (non-singing roles of course).
- Woke up in a hospital with total amnesia, unable to even remember my own name (I’m all better now, in case it isn’t immediately apparent).
