Best. Episode. Ever.

And Martha kicks ass.

I have to start with Clark-as-Lionel. What a great performance. Funny how I find Kal-El incredibly hot but think that Clark-as-Lionel is just disturbing.

Lionel is one sick bastard. I can’t believe how he would try to lure his son to his doom by trying to convince Lex that he loved him. Well, actually I can, but you know what I mean. And I nearly died when he was flirting with Martha. Hysterical and wrong all at the same time.

TW did an amazing job of convincing me that he really was Lionel. The walk, the expression, the mannerisms all were very Lionel-like. So much so that I was horrified by the Chloe scene. It was so creepy watching him toy with her. That would actually make a good horror movie plot.

And I just adored his scenes with Lana. The little eye-roll and disdainful attitude were hilarious. So damn funny.

I can see how Lionel would be overjoyed at the thought of freedom, even without the superpowers. It was a nice touch to have him sniff everything. It was creepy but believable.

Lionel was a very, very bad boy. It was so much fun watching sweet little Clarkie act with a total disregard for the feelings of his friends and family. It just wouldn’t have been the same if he had switched with anyone else.

Lionel-as-Clark didn’t get as much screentime, but that’s actually okay. There was only so much that they could do with Clark in a jail cell (that they could show on national television, at least), so I don’t feel like I missed out on anything. Can you imagine how much fun it would have been to see Clark-as-Lionel struggle to function in the world of LuthorCorp? Hilarious.

I was snickering madly thinking of Lionel being stuck in a cell with his nerdy cellmate. Even though he needed him, I bet that Lionel was sorely tempted to kill him. I just can’t see Lionel tolerating his nervous nerdy prattling for long. Just more proof of his determination to survive at all costs.

I am not pleased with the whole “Lionel has changed” concept. We need Lionel to be truly evil. Not only is it entertaining, but it puts Lex’s eventual decline into perspective. Lionel’s previously irredeemable bastardy made the thought of Lex becoming evil understandable. It gives us an opportunity to love Dark Side Lex, because he is a victim of his upbringing. I know that Lex will never believe that his father could become good. I also think that something like believing in his father’s conversion could be the saving grace of Lex Luthor. We all know where this story is heading, but that doesn’t make it any less painful.

Thank God for fanfic.

I know what you mean - I haven't been that talkative meself lately due to a screwed up sleep schedule.

That whole reborn thing had better be some kind of evil plot or I will be severely pissed.I'm quite tolerant of SV's plotting follies, but I don't think that I can stomach this one.

Sleep now, squee later.

Eh. Yeah. I'm slowly trying to get back to a good schedule.

If it's not an evil plot then I don't know what else it could be. Something sucktastic, no doubt.

Hee.
