In other news, Chloe’s investigations lead to trouble, Jonathan acts like an old woman, and Clark finally grows a pair. Lex will be so pleased when he finds out.
So this week’s freak is named Mikhail Mxyzptlk? I remember him from The West Wing. Oh, we hateses him, yes we do. This episode certainly didn’t do anything to change my opinion. Get your grubby paws off of Chloe, you Eurotrash scumbag!
And get a haircut. Sheeesh.
It is so nice to see Chloe with some screentime for a change. I love how she handles a crisis. No freakouts, no hysterics, no whining; just a casual, “Oh yeah, and he forced me to kiss him” and a plan for revenge. Methinks that Lana would not be so blasé. And extra cool points awarded for punching the Balkan bug boy in the face. A welcome return of the Kick Ass!Chloe that we all know and love.
I was torn between loving Clark and wanting to slap him (as usual). Loved his little speech to Jonathan before the big game. It was the perfect strategy: a chicken soup for the platitude-loving soul lecture. Jonathan was helpless when faced with a dose of his own medicine. Yay, Clark!
But his initial reaction to Chloe’s revelation of Mxy-whatever’s manhandling? Cuh-laaaark, come on! The girl has just started talking to you again, this is no time to question whether she wanted it or not. Dickhead. And pestering Lex for more favours? Wake up honey, he’s onto you and your little games.
And speaking of games, why the hell was everyone so shocked and upset that a player was injured in a football game? Doesn’t that kind of go with the territory in any contact sport?
Lex has been busy. I’m assuming that the whole Floor 33.1 thing was a project of Lionel’s. I’m sure that Lex has discovered all kinds of new toys now that he has free run of the building. The temptation must be very great to continue and enhance Lionel’s work. With the combined might of his own work along with Lionel’s, Lex must being feeling positively giddy with power right now. That would explain why he wasn’t even trying to hide his feelings from Clark. Too bad Clark is too thick to notice.
Interesting development with Jason. It is a very overt move for Lex to make, especially when you think about his little speech about the “things you do for love”. I like Jason and I like Jason and Lana together. I hope that we will see more of them.
I was thinking that the whole mysterious tattoo thing makes the possibility of Lex/Lana make more sense. Lex is obsessed with unraveling the secrets of the cave and of Clark Kent. Lana is now another piece of the puzzle and that would make Lex feel very acquisitive. The fact that she is a malleable, attractive female and the object of Clark’s affections are pluses, but would not suffice as the sole reason for his interest. Don’t ask me how he would know about the tattoo, I’m just making up theories here.
