Enterprise 4.14: The Aenar

Shran was his usually cranky self, said crankiness aggravated by the antennae loss of last week (hee). We also got to his softer side, hitherto only hinted at with his girlfriend. I don't think any nooky was on offer from the blind chick, but he still treated her with an endearing respect and kindness. Awwwwww. He is so sweet, in a peevish kind of way.
As always, I enjoyed the Shran/Archer show. The incredibly pissy rapport between those two helps to make Archer much more palatable to me. At least when he acts like an asshat it is because Shran is inspiring him to new levels of asshattery. It also amuses me to imagine a meeting between Shran and Kirk. *snickers*
I was very sad to see Shran leave at the end of the episode, knowing that the series is almost over for good. I really hope that we get to see him again before the end.
Meanwhile, back aboard the Starship Enterpoop, poor Trip is having a tough time. The poor guy is just so in love and T'Pol is back to being as Vulcany as she possibly can. I do believe that T'Pol is trying to distance herself because she thinks it is what she needs to do, not what she wants. T'Pol has proven that she is very strong and determined, so I won't be surprised if she is successful in chasing him away. The whole inter-species concept is still quite new, so maybe they all just need more time to adjust before a baby Spock can be born.
And Trip is leaving???? I am so torn. On the one hand, I want him to get his own ship - it puts him one step closer to becoming a Captain. On the other hand...there's what, six episodes left??? They had better include lots of Trip, that's all I'm sayin'.
Plus, I can hardly wait to see what T'Pol has to say (or which eyebrow twitches) when she finds out.

Actually, I do tend to leave Enterprise unspoiled because Pookie is SUCH a huge fan and he HATES spoilers.
And I am a blabbermouth.
Just the same, I'm goning to have to check them out. I can't stand it!!
