Yay Shriners

trishkitOne of the things that I love about my apartment is the fact that I have a great view of parades from my balcony. This is a good thing since marching bands make me cry so I can be pathetic in private.
Today was the day of the Shriners' parade. I've never seen anything like it. Shriners from all over eastern Canada and the northeastern US were in town for a convention and a parade. The parade took almost two hours to pass by! Lots of groovy little cars, clowns and men in funny hats.
We started off watching from the balcony until it got too cold, then we moved to the restaurant on the corner and had a late lunch and lots of coffee as the parade went on and on and on. I've never seen a parade that long before.
It all just makes me smile.
