Is there some kind of religious thingy going on right now?

I ask because it is midnight on a Friday and the bells of the church behind my building are ringing. They have also been ringing at noon at least a couple of times this week.

It is very pretty, and I love listening to them, but I just wanna know WHY!

I am utterly fascinated by the history of a place. I would always look at the old houses in the town next door to mine and wish that I could look inside or live there (my hometown is/was a summer destination filled with cheap cottages and hotels - it has history, but nothing that can be seen in its architecture, that's for sure). How wonderful that you got to do just that! And hidden panels! OMG! How could they remove them? Bastards.

I immediately fell in love with Ottawa when I came here for a visit about three years ago. Sure, I had been here before, but never as an adult. I know that you'd like to head West, but I've already done that - Ottawa is the place for me for now. I adore all of the buildings and the sense of history. I think it is a pleasure just to walk down the street. It always seems like something is going on, and I really wish that it was easier to find out just what!
